HOTDOG IS THE ONLY ENGLISH WORD IN HER VOCABULARY –PERFORMANCE In this collaborative building project GilbertandGrape invite the audience to build a bannana fountain for their town or city. The audience are invited to recall a fountain or water feature to contribute to the structure. Commissioned for the 4th annual Transmodern in Baltimore U.S.A 2007.

MISSING YOU MOSTLY - PERFORMANCE
GilbertandGrape work to create actions performed together with the viewers. One action performed in Norway and one in UK. The two performers run into the night thinking about people they miss and cannot physically be with. We send our wishes into the night. Theme: How one may find a physical condition despite being geographically or physically separated. The piece was commissioned and premiered in Southampton UK and performed at 2nd

BY THE WAY- PERFORMANCE
We set up a painting of a sunset 2mx3m and place a stuffed a moose head in front. We make a fictional frame for a cliché from which we ask our audience to choose a nostalgic song spend some time and discuss the Theme: idea of clichés and iconography. The piece toured in Norway 2005.

KIOSK CORRESPONDANCE: INTERACTIVE NETWORKED PERFORMANCE Performing from a remote location/phone booth we communicate with our gallery and online audience by live phone and internet. In this performance we plant suspicion of the fake and the documentary.

BATH INSTALLATION A conversation on the theme of translation and visceral memories was transcribed. The text was displayed in index boxes in dialogue with 24 photos on the wall. NO. 53 6 minutes video, the first filming of one of our 53  actions/rituals. We would like to film the other 52.The Hell Fire Dining Club. KUNSTHALLE wien project space, Karlsplatz, Vienna.

ESTHER AND CARMEN During the 3 hour performance we read a list of 53 rituals, consequently naming to Hollywood icons we see as ambassadors of escapism. ESTHER AND CARMEN During two 3 hour performances over consecutive days. We read a list of 47 rituals and repeat 10 minutes actions with 6 objects whilst playing back to back Hawaiian records. PEEP LIVING GilbertandGrape perform within closed doors in a bath room for 24 hours. The audience has access by watching our actions through peeping holes installed in the doors. By pushing the time frame we explore questions on closure and the politics of cinematic language Oslo Open, Oslo, Norway

PEEP LIVING Three hour durational performance over three days. GilbertandGrape perform in three private rooms behind closed doors. The audience witness our actions through peeping holes installed in the doors. We look to frame the blur between private/public and object/subject.

TRAVELLING LIGHT-AN ONGOING PERFORMANCE-EUROPE Transporting a 20 kilos stuffed moose head (the lone ranger) is an ongoing action in our work. The moose has been transported in a series of performances throughout Europe. We look to provoke thoughts on contemporary mobility.
