PROGRAM
FOR L-I-V-E-A-R-T-O-U 2005
Producing
a live art programme for an emerging scene and for an audience perhaps
new to this art form is challenging and exiting. It demands a programme
that can innovate in unison. We aim for a humble start that will give
us knowledge about the scene, artists and audience.
The
launch 29th -30th April 2005
The project which will be launching the L-I-V-A-R-T-O-U represents an
energy and hospitality that we wish to function as a relay for and to
continue. The project is called THE ART OF HOSPITALITY and is a Turqoise
bunkbed/residency donated to the following network bodies:
BED 1: Museo de Siencio y arte, Valencia 2001 The bunkbed was exhibited
and later donated to Carlos Mallol. A Performance and seminar "Why
we export bunkbeds" was held at the "International Artist Space",
Para-site Art Space, Hong Kong 2001.
BED 2: NOASS in Riga, 2001 www.noass.lv
Gallry F-15 exhibited one bunkbed in the garden for 3 mnd.A presentation
was held.
BED 3 Tribes Gallery i New York, 2003 www.tribes.org
BED 4 Åbo akademien / nifca Finland 2003 nifca made a residency
inspired by the bunkbed. www.arte.fi
.The bunk bed was also presented in the gallry Titanik. Finland
BED 5 Donated to TOU SCENE, Stavanger 2005.
Friday
the 29th of April. GUN LADIES: The Art of Hospitality
Hanne Rangul and Camilla Øyhus, make a presentation of their project
together with the Curator Anne-Marte Eidseth Rygh. The bed will be installed
in the project room and become a residency for Performance and Live Artists.

Rangul and Camilla Øyhus presents Art from the people
A video presentation in the café on the Gun ladies project Art
from the People This project build on the The TV concept Idol. The
project created an opportunity for people (attending an international
theatre festival in Stamsund) to decide from a selection of artists which
artist they preffered as an ART-STAR. The project was documented to a
45 minutes documentary and together with the winners art work the project
was shown at this years Autumn exhibition In Oslo as a part of Ståle
Sørensens mobile gallery. www.gallerygun.no

16th of July: Performance : Agnes Nedregård (N)
Agnesd will be presenting a Site Specific solo performance. Agnes makes
performances and videos based on the physicality of the body. She investigates
the bodys ability to communicate with space as well as the potential
of expression in the physical language of bodily effort. She is a member
of Fire Birds, a Glasgow based group working/playing site specifically
with climbing, choreography and interactions with objects,

11th of September:Performance: Kenny McBride (UK)
Kenny McBrides works generate contextually engaged performance,
installation, architectural intervention, and lens-based work. They operate
within the architectonics and pathology of mediated and lived experience
to approach the image as a physical space and inhabit alienation, hallucination,
being and becoming visual phenomena.He is Director of Performance Art
in Context research project, and editor of new contextual art e-zine.
"In answer to the world as it has been given me, artistic production
is both a manifestation of my humanity and a social action. Reverberation
begins long before and continues long after the act."

Saturday
16th of September Performance Rita Marhaug (N)
A cental performer in Norwegian Performance Art Scene.lecturere at Bergen
Art Academy. In her work she is concerned with the challenge to adress
questions of the feminine representation and identity. Marhaug has amongst
other things chosen to higlight this problematization by bringing her
own children in arranged scenetic situations. At Tou Scene she will further
this piece. By directly adressing her audience Marhauh shows a strong
wish to engage the viewer, to let the art pice step in to an active state
of mind.

Ett tilbud for kunstnere med virke I performance Art til og gjeste Tou
Scene for opptil 2 uker. Presentasjon av prosjektets historikk og nettverk
ved 5 byer, Velkommen: Valencia, Riga, Rotterdam Åbo, New York.
Presentasjon av AKT-S En gruppe regionale kunstnere har formet en forening
som ønsker å jobbe for å synelig gjøre Norsk
performance kunst. Initiativet er I samarbeid med AKT-B I Bergen. Er du
nyskjerrig på denne kusnt formen er dette en sjanse til å
orientere seg. Div bøker og informativ lyd installasjoner er tilgengelig.
